The online independent journal, TransportXtra, recently reported on the EDAR pilot completed in early 2017 in Scotland. The article titled Clean Air Zones ‘may not deliver better air’ highlights the findings made in the West Lothian Report, which outlines the results of the pilot; including during this pilot many vehicles seen on road during this pilot did not even meet the Euro 4 Standards. To quote the report "using a technology such as EDAR to accurately measure in-use emissions would be a powerful tool for adding validity and fairness to Low Emission Zones"
